Every year, I have a mild panic moment when I realize we need to buy more clothes for them. School is about to start back for my kids. I avoid it with all my being too, as I get no joy from it. I have two girls, one year apart and one to two sizes apart.Įvery season or growth spurt I have to lock myself in their room and go through the outgrown clothes, store them for the younger one, or figure out a way to consign or give away the ones the younger one has outgrown. It happened to me several times when I first started decluttering, and I was dragging my feet for months on going through my clothes after a job change.Įven more than my own clothes, I HATE working through my kids’ clothes.
